Description	:	OBIT: Mrs. Kate O'Neill, 90, died at her home in the Woldale District, Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Mrs. O'Neill, affectionately known to her many friends as "Mother O'Neill," was born in Kingscourt, County Cavan, Ireland, April 20, 1867. She and her husband, Arthur O'Neill, with their family, came to Ellensburg in 1908 to join her two brothers, the late Edward Hand and the late James Hand, and a sister, the late Mrs. Rose Desmond, all of whom already were established here. She and her husband, Arthur O'Neill, with their family, came to Ellensburg in 1908 to join her two brothers, the late Edward Hand and the late James Hand, and a sister, the late Mrs. Rose Desmond, all of whom already were established here. Mr. O'Neill preceded his wife in death in September, 1930. A daughter, Mrs. Bridget Clarke, died in Ireland in January 1951. Mrs. Clare was the mother of Mrs. Frank McMorrow, Tom Clarke and Andrew Clake, who now reside in Ellensburg, and Mrs. Nellie Johnson of New York. The remainder of her children still reside in Ireland. Survivors of Mrs. O'Neill include three sons, Arthur G., John J., and Leo A. O'Neill, all of Ellensburg, and six daughters, Mrs. Mary Thayer, Mrs. Rose Powell, Mrs. Alice Haberman, Miss Jane O'Neill, all of Ellensburg, Mrs. Kathleen Crippen of Tacoma, and Mrs. Laura Case of Kirkland. In addition there are 43 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. O'Neill was a member of St. Andrews' Catholic Church and St. Andrew's Altar Society. She belonged to the Woldale Thursday Club. Rosary services will be held at the Evenson Funeral Home at 7 p.m., Tuesday. The funeral will be at St. Andrew's Church at 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, Father Gerald Desmond, O.S.B., of St. Martin's College, a nephew of Mrs. O'Neill, will be the celebrant at the mass.
