She was born in Wellen, Waldeck-Frankenberg, Hessen, Germany as indicated on her immigration record, Hamburg Passenger List, Ship "Hammonia" Manifest. New Era, Parker, South Dakota, June 8, 1889 Mrs. Snoozy has been sick for sometime and is at present very low, and requiring the counsel of a physician. She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn for her. New Era, Parker, South Dakota, June 15, 1889 Mrs. Snoozy, whom I reported as dead in my last communication, was 37 years old. She was married to her now bereaved husband fourteen years ago; joined the Lutheran church when 13 years of age; she leaves eight motherless children. Mrs. Fleming of Sioux Falls, a sister of Mr. Snoozy's is staying with him for a few days.
