She died at her home, on the farm south of Sutton, Sunday, February 3rd at ten o’clock in the morning, attaining an age of 72 years and 27 days. Read More	Sutton Register (Sutton, NE), Friday, February 8, 1929 Catherine Kissler Mrs. Catherine Margareth Kissler, nee Kilhn (sic) was born at the village of Frank in the Volga County of Russia, January 6th, 1857. She died at her home, on the farm south of Sutton, Sunday, February 3rd at ten o’clock in the morning, attaining an age of 72 years and 27 days. On February 26, 1875 she united in holy wedlock with Mr. Conrad Kissler, and in the year of 1886 Mr. and Mrs. Kissler came to this country. Through untiring work and exemplary thrift a good home was soon established, a producing farm bought south of Sutton, and the thirteen children born to this couple were raised and educated to become useful and respectable citizens. Mrs. Kissler was a good mother, teaching her children how to work and how to pray, and she was also a good wife to her husband, bearing patiently with him all the hardships of the early pioneers. Besides the sorrowing husband, there remain to mourn her departure her children as follows, according to their ages; Kate, Mrs. Henry Fuchs, Sutton; Maggie, Mrs. Conrad Noble, Hastings; Conrad Kissler, Columbus, Nebr; George Kissler, Hastings, Nebr; Miss Emmy Kissler at home; Mary, Mrs. L P Rothrock, Sutton; Henry Kissler, Bridgewater, Iowa; Miss Alice Kissler, Hastings, Neb; John Kissler, Sutton; Jake Kisser, Sutton; Miss Lizzie Kissler at home; Andrew Kissler, at home; and Martha, Mrs. John Brening, Sutton. Also 21 grandchildren; two brothers, one in the old country and one in the United States, and one sister in the old country and many other relatives and friends. She was ailing from the much dreaded disease of diabetes for several years, and in spite of all medical care, she knew that her days on earth had run their course and so she kept herself in readiness for the call of her Master, Jesus Christ, to leave this earthly home for the better home above As she had believed so she died. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one o’clock at the farm home and at two o’clock in the First Reformed Church. Rev. R Birk spoke from the text of Matth 25, 21.
