Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Miller, nee Kathryn McCoy, was born in Clinton county, Iowa, August 16, 1865. Miller died at her home, 1128 Marshall street, on Friday morning at 9:45 o’clock after an illness of a year’s duration. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Miller, nee Kathryn McCoy, was born in Clinton county, Iowa, August 16, 1865. When a small child she came with her parents to Boone county and lived for a number of years on the old McCoy homestead northeast of the city. She was united in Marriage to A.L. Miller at Carroll on august 24, 1889, and shortly afterwards returned to Boone and has made this city her home ever since. Those left to mourn her death are her husband and four children, three sons and one daughter, Leo, Gertrude, Guy Raymond and Albert. She is also survived by three brothers and four sisters, James T., Anthony and Joseph of Boone; Mrs. Peter Jordan and Mrs. Lizzie Gartland of Boone, Mrs. Sarah Jordan of Harrison, Nebraska,, and Mrs. George Garland of Jamaica, Iowa. The funeral was held on Monday morning at 9:00 o’clock from the church of the Sacred Heart, rev. Father Barron officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. The pall bearers were all nephews of the deceased as follows: Michael Jordan, Dennis Garland, Peter Garland, Emmett Garland, Henry McCoy and Gregory McCoy. Those present at the funeral form a distance were: Mrs. Charles Hendricks of Council Bluffs, sister of the bereaved husband; Mr. and Mrs. Allie McCoy of Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie McCoy of Williams, Mr. and Mrs. George O’Mailec of Perry, and Peter, Leo and Emmett Garland, three nephews of Jamaica. The Democrat extends to the bereaved family its sincerest sympathy.
