Mrs. Marrs had been in frail health for some time, and on Tuesday was taken seriously ill of pneumonia. She was the widow of Warren Marrs who passed away November 4, 1925. Mrs. Marrs had been in frail health for some time, and on Tuesday was taken seriously ill of pneumonia. She was the widow of Warren Marrs who passed away November 4, 1925. Mrs. Marrs spent her life in Troy township. She was born November 1, 1859 to Joseph S. and Mary Jane Long Palmer. In 1876 she was united in marriage to Warren W. Marrs. Seven children were born, all of whom survive, namely: Hallie, wife of John Sechrist, of this city; Clyde Marrs of Meade, Kansas; Geneva, wife of Joseph Egolf of Fort Wayne; John, Harley and Mrs. Carl Noble of Troy township; and Carl Marrs of Pierceton. Other surviving relatives are eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lois Alborn of Warsaw and four brothers, Elmer E. Palmer of Albion; Samuel L. Palmer of Richland Township; Joseph and Carl Palmer of Troy township. The deceased was devout in her church relations. She had long been a communicant of the Troy Presbyterian church and active in the ladies aid society and the Women's Missionary Society of the church. She was one of the best known and most highly esteemed women in her community.
