Description	:	Catherine Robinson was born near Silver Lake, Ind., March 8, 1852. She passed to the home beyond from her late residence in Fairmont, Neb., at 11:05 p.m., February 24, 1925, aged 72 years, 11 months and 16 days. She was married to Abram Miller Black in Indiana January 8, 1874, and on February 18 they came to the vicinity of Fairmont to the farm which Mr. Black had taken as a homestead three years before. To this union four children were born, the two old dying in infancy. The two living are Winton E. Black and... Read More	Catherine Robinson was born near Silver Lake, Ind., March 8, 1852. She passed to the home beyond from her late residence in Fairmont, Neb., at 11:05 p.m., February 24, 1925, aged 72 years, 11 months and 16 days. She was married to Abram Miller Black in Indiana January 8, 1874, and on February 18 they came to the vicinity of Fairmont to the farm which Mr. Black had taken as a homestead three years before. To this union four children were born, the two old dying in infancy. The two living are Winton E. Black and V. Grace Black. There is also one granddaughter, Ruth Idella Black. Of Mrs. Black's immediate family, there is also one brother living, Harvey C. Robinson of Markleville, Ind. Mrs. Black has lived in this community for over fifty years. She and Mr. Black united with the Presbyterian Church of Fairmont on August 2, 1879. Mrs. Black was always a great worker for the church until recent years, when her health did not permit such work. For three years she was president of the ladies aid society of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Black was a charter member of the Women's Relief Corps and has held nearly every office in that organization. It will be remembered that she attended the memorial services held last year on the Sunday before Decoration Day with the W.R.C. and also on Decoration Day. These were among the last public meetings she attended because of failing health. It was not until November 3, however, that she became entirely confined to her bed. However, in that time, until just a few weeks ago, it was very noticeable to her pastor that every time he called and asked how she was the answer was always, "I am feeling pretty well today." Never any word of complaint or looking on the dark side, but always looking forward to the day for which she made preparation many, many years ago.
