Mrs. Mardian was born June 8, 1872 in Russia. She came to Texas in 1886 and then to Kansas to homestead in 1893. She lived in Park for 65 years. She was a charter member of the Altar Society of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Park and was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Mrs. Mardian was born June 8, 1872 in Russia. She came to Texas in 1886 and then to Kansas to homestead in 1893. She lived in Park for 65 years. She was a charter member of the Altar Society of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Park and was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving are six daughters, Mary Austin, Concordia; Dorothy Mardian, Ashland; Frieda Mardian, Quinter; Mrs. Otto J. Billinger, Park; Mrs. Huebert J. Rueschhoff, Denver; and Mrs. Edward A. Janzen, Wichita; a son, Joe, Quinter; a brother, Frank Zimmerman, Park; two sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Dreiling, Victoria, and Mrs. Elizabeth Waldman, Park; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Church in Park, The Rev. Frs. Scott, Hecker and Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p. m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus hall in Park. Grinnell Record-Leader, Thursday, November 12, 1964 Rites Saturday For Mrs. Mardian Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Church in Park Saturday morning at 10:00 a. m. fr Mrs. Catherine Mardian, who died Thursday morning, Nov. 5 at the Gove County Hospital in Quinter after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Mardian, who was 92 years old had been a resident of the Long Term Care Facility until only a short time before her death. She had been a resident of the Park Community for 65 years. Born in Russia, June 8, 1872 she moved to Texas in 1886 and then to a homestead in Kansas in 1893. She was a charter member of the Altar Society of the Sacred Heart Church in Park and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She is survived by six daughters, Mary Austin, Concordia; Dorothy Mardian, Ashland; Frieda Mardian, Quinter; Mrs. Otto J. Billinger, Park; Mrs. Huebert J. Rueschhoff, Denver and Mrs. Edward A. Janzen, Wichita, one son, Joe Mardian, Quinter, a brother Frank Zimmerman, Park; two sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Dreiling, Victoria and Mrs. Elizabeth Waldman, Park; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. A Solemn Requiem Mass was held at 10:00 a. m. at the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Schott, Cleberant, Rev. Hecker Deacon and Rev. Murphy, Sub Deacon. Casket bearers were Benedict Waldman, Willie Waldman, Gilbert Wildeman, Francis Kaiser, Francis Leiker and Robert Kinderknecht. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
