Read More	Cecil Stockwell Sr. Aug 11 1913 - Nov 19 2004 Cecil Stockwell, Sr., Parker, SD, died November 19, 2004, at Canistota Good Samaritan Center. He was 91. Cecil Stockwell was born August 11, 1913, at east Sioux Falls, to Bernard and Ida (Rohl) Stockwell. He graduated from Brandon, SD in 1933. In addition to assisting his father on the farm, he worked for Sioux Falls Construction, Traub Silo and drove truck for Willis Brothers Trucking. He married Opal Sandstrom near Salem, SD. He began his farming career in 1942, near Hartford, SD. he moved to Salem, SD in 1945, where he farmed for 2 years. He then moved near Parker, SD, in 1948, where he continued farming for the remainder of his life. One of the finest cattlemen in the area, Cecil loved raising cattle. He enjoyed netting fish and loved the outdoors. Cecil enjoyed walking the Vermillion River breaks checking the cattle. Grateful for having shared his life are his sons, Cecil Stockwell, Jr., Humboldt, SD, Bruce Stockwell and his wife, Monica, Humboldt, SD, John Stockwell and his wife, Jane, Hartford, SD, Lloyd Stockwell and his wife, Lynn, Parker, SD; 16 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings, and a son, Dennis. Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, at Miller Funeral Home, 13th and Main Avenue. Visitation begins at noon, Monday, with the family present to greet friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Monday evening. Miller Funeral Home 507 S.
