Cecil Carroll Grace, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Grace was born January 14, 1903 near Douglas, Nebraska, Otoe County. This was his home for only a brief time, as the family moved to Lincoln in February 1903, then in May 1905 they moved to Archer. Here Cecil grew to manhood, received his education and learned the trade of mechanic in his father's shop. He was married on July 3, 1922 at Cozad to Bernice Eckles. A few years later they moved to Palmer where Cecil established his own business. This was their home until 1951 when they sold out and bought land near Miller, South Dakota where they farmed one year until their son Donald took over the farming at which time they returned to Central City where he was a used car dealer. In 1960 they returned to Miller where they lived on a farm until Cecil's death. Survivors include his widow, Bernice, one son, Donald of Miller, South Dakota, one daughter, Darlene (Mrs. Walt Hosick) of McCook, his mother, Mrs. Geneva Grace of Central City; one grandson and four granddaughters.
