Cecil received his education in the rural and Fairmont Public Schools. He was united in marriage to Estella Budler November 22, 1934. To this union three sons and two daughters were born. Read More	Cecil Earl Perkins, son of Chester and Stella (White) Perkins was born March 19, 1910, at Fairmont and passed away June 29, 1992, at the Fillmore County Hospital. Cecil received his education in the rural and Fairmont Public Schools. He was united in marriage to Estella Budler November 22, 1934. To this union three sons and two daughters were born. Cecil was raised on the farm except for three years living in Corvallis, Or. He lived in the Fairmont and Exeter communities as a farmer for 25 years. The family left the farm near Exeter in 1962, moving into Exeter where Cecil became a custodian in the Exeter Public Schools. He worked 13 years full-time and two years part-time, retiring in 1977. He took great pride in his family and home, spending many hours working in the yard. As long as his health permitted, he enjoyed playing cards with his friends, playing pool with his sons as well as fishing. Cecil and Estella celebrated their golden anniversary in 1984. Cecil was a devoted member of St. Stephen's Church in Exeter. This past year, as his health failed, he attended mass when ever he was able. Praying the rosary each day was an important part of his life. Preceding him in death were two daughters, Shirley and Sheila; a grandson, George; parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Norris and a sister, Mildred. He leaves to mourn him, Estella, his wife of 57 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Susan of Exeter, Ronald and Eileen of Lincoln and Robert of Lincoln; granddaughters, Christie, Debbie, Jenny, Becky and Rhonda; grandsons, Robb, Rick; and Mike (husband of Christie); brothers, Virgil of Corvallis, Or., Eugene of Molalla, Or., and sister, Ruth Rasmussen of Tangent, Or. and many other relatives and friends. funeral services were held at St. Stephen's Catholic Church on July 3, at 10 a.m. with Father Kelly officiating. The rosary was recited at Farmer's Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m. Pallbearers were Robb Perkins, Rick Perkins, Mike Bousselot, Monte Hanson, Phil Swartz and Mike Budler. Henrietta Harre was organist. She accompanied the choir which sang "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art" and "Heart of Christ." Burial was in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at Grafton.
