Description	:	Cecile Pelham Baie, 70, of 606 Hooper St., Melbourne, formerly of State Center, died Sept. 3, 2006, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Her death came peacefully at 6:19 p.m. with family at her side. Graveside memorial services and a celebration of her life will be 1 p.m. Friday at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, with a time of fellowship and refreshments to follow. This will be announced at graveside. There will be no visitation. Born Cecile Annette Ellis on June 21, 1936, at home in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Alfred Clifton and Mamie (Fouts) Ellis. She graduated from Marshalltown High School. Cecile was united in marriage to Duane Hill, John Pelham and Norris Baie, all whom preceded her in death. She was a strong woman who enjoyed the outdoors and dearly loved her family. Ce also enjoyed her church family at the E-Free Church in Marshalltown and was employed as a bookkeeper at Norris Baie's. She gave of herself volunteering at the House of Compassion. Left to celebrate her life are her children Larry (Teresa) Ellis of Collins, Brenda (Kenny) Diggins of State Center, Linda Pelham of Melbourne, John (Pamela) Pelham of State Center, Tina Pelham of Melbourne, and Emily Baie and her spouse of State Center, Donny (Kaye) Baie of Marshalltown, Linda (Steven) Austin of Des Moines, Joy (Frank) Kolbe of Marshalltown; 18 precious grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; her brother Dale Ellis of Des Moines; and sisters Cora Fouts in Louisiana, DeeDee Finch in Texas, Evelyn Billman in Arizona and Sharon Drinovsky of Marshalltown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her parents and her husbands.
