Cecilia was born August 28, 1932 in Sturgis to Walter A. Miller and Marguerite (Girioux) Miller. Cecilia married on September 5, 1953. After graduating from St. Martin's Academy in Sturgis, Cecilia completed her registered nurse training at Saint John's McNamara School of Nursing in Rapid City. Read More	Wife of Earl William Brunson, LTJG, USN. Cecilia F. Brunson, age 74 of Fairburn SD passed away at home on Sunday August 26, 2007. Cecilia was born August 28, 1932 in Sturgis to Walter A. Miller and Marguerite (Girioux) Miller. Cecilia married on September 5, 1953. After graduating from St. Martin's Academy in Sturgis, Cecilia completed her registered nurse training at Saint John's McNamara School of Nursing in Rapid City. This was the start of a 32 year career during which she continually pushed herself to develop new expertise and take on new challenges. From 1966 through 1986 Cecilia lived with her family in the Aberdeen area. In 1969 she completed certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) training at St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen and for 15 years worked at hospitals in Britton. Faulkton, Webster and Bowdle. Following her career as a CRNA, Cecilia returned to school and continued her education earning BS degrees in both administration and nursing. She also taught at Presentation College and served the Aberdeen community as a community health nurse. In 1986 Cecilia and her husband moved from Aberdeen to the Stapl E Ranch near Fairburn. From that time until her death they lived and ranched on French Creek. Cecilia was active in the community and received many awards including several recognizing her contributions to the establishment of the French Creek Weed Management District. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, two daughters and two sons and their families. She is also survived by a sister, and two brothers. She had 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
