Death Beckons Pauline Wissler Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning in St. John's Catholic Church in Table Rock for Mrs. Pauline Wissler, who died Sunday at the Gordon Home in Pawnee City. Cecilia Pauline Wissler was born on November 22, 1873 in Wurmlingen, Germany, and passed away at the Gordon Home in Pawnee City, November 5, 1961 at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 5 days. Her parents were Johann and Marianna Haug. She was confirmed in the Catholic faith at an early age. She came to this country in 1908 and was married to Ernest Wissler on June 17 of the same year. They spent several years in Kansas and Washington and in 1920 moved to a farm near Table Rock. Mrs. Wissler spent the remainder of her life in Table Rock excepting the last three months. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1936; her parents and seven brothers and sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing, three children; August of Medford, Oregon, Elizabeth Rogers of Trenton, Mich., and Margaret Shuss of Table Rock; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
