Read More	Life Story of Mrs Scott Evans, 77 Celia Bertha Evans was born on a farm north of Persia in Harrison County, Iowa, Aug. 30, 1886, the daughter of Mary Jane and Frederick Hansen. She died unexpectedly at her home in Cass township, Shelby County, Iowa, Jun 19, 1964, at the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 12/19 days. She grew to womanhood in the Persia vicinity and Feb. 25, 1914, she married Scott Evans at her family home. Mr. and Mrs. Evans celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this last February. They farmed in the Persia vicinity for five years before moving to a farm in Cass township. And for the last 36 years they have lived on their present farm. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Persia and was also a member of the Pioneer Country club. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mammie Ellen; her parents; two brothers, Edgar and Arthur Hansen and two sisters, Grace Hansen and Alice Brackenbury. In addition to her husband, Scott, she is survived by a son, Vernon Evans of Des Moines; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Bettie, Mrs. Jess Lytle of Harlan. Funeral services were held Monday, June 22, 1964, at 2 p.m. at the Pauley Home for Funerals, Harlan, with Elder John Jensen officiating.
