Eaton, died June 1 at a Santa Monica, Calif. hospital, one day after her 88th birthday, according to word received here by relatives. Mrs. Eaton was born in Canada in 1866. The family moved near Sioux City, Ia., where she attended schools. She came to Montana in 1890 to join her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hamilton, at Great Falls. Eaton, died June 1 at a Santa Monica, Calif. hospital, one day after her 88th birthday, according to word received here by relatives. Mrs. Eaton was born in Canada in 1866. The family moved near Sioux City, Ia., where she attended schools. She came to Montana in 1890 to join her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hamilton, at Great Falls. She was married to John T. Eaton in 1894 and they lived on his ranch near here. Following retirement in 1925, Mr. and Mrs. Eaton lived in Los Angeles much of the time, until his death at the veterans home at Sawtelle, Calif. Eaton was a Civil War veteran. Since Eaton's death, Mrs. Eaton has spent winters in California with a nephew, Oscar Hamilton; and summers here with her sisters who survive her. They are Mrs. Annie Edwards, Mrs. Emilie Bickett, Mrs. Jennie Keeney, and Mrs. Josephine Hale, all of Great Falls. Funeral arrangements are being made by Mrs. Keeney who was called to Santa Monica.
