Prentis Dies in Utica, N. Y. Buried in this Town Chandler Amariah Prentis died in Utica, N. Y., August 16, at the home of his daughters. Funeral services were held in Utica, N. Y., Tuesday August 18 and at this home in this place Thursday afternoon August 20, with the Masonic burial service at the grave. Mr. Prentis was born in Royal Oak, Mich., April 4, 1842. He was the son of Joseph Comstock and Cerinthia Chandler Prentis. He came to this place with his parents when he was three years of age. His education was secured in the district school. Mr. Prentis was a member of Mad River Valley Lodge F. and A. M., of which he was at one time master and held other offices for many years. On May 25, 1863, he was married to Laura Wyman Richardson. To them were born four children, s son, Edwin Richardson, and three daughter, Agnes Estelle, Josie M. and Jessie M. Prentis. Mr. Prentis took an active part in farm operations until the past few years, when his health prevented. His wife died February 11, 1912. From December 1914 Mr. Prentis made his home with his three daughter in Utica, N. Y. To the State of Vermont he was most loyal. He was a man of sterling character. He leaves his four children, three sister, Mrs. Mary Ladd and Mr. Carey Watson of Greenfield, Mass., and Mrs. Elliot Watson of Alstead, N. H. Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. E. B. Watson of Alstead, N. H.; Mrs. E. M. Carey of Greenfield, Mass.; James E.
