Description	:	Charlene May Odeen passed away on January 9th, 2021 from Covid/ Pneumonia. She was born April 13th, 1931. Passed at age 89. She was born in Geddes South Dakota to John and Tillie Varuska. She later wed Don Odeen in 1954 deceased 1995), and had one son Kelly. My mom had such a good nature, wonderful smile, she was an awesome homemaker, and a great cook! And loved to paint, she was a crafts lady who could make anything. Read More	Charlene May Odeen passed away on January 9th, 2021 from Covid/ Pneumonia. She was born April 13th, 1931. Passed at age 89. She was born in Geddes South Dakota to John and Tillie Varuska. She later wed Don Odeen in 1954 deceased 1995), and had one son Kelly. My mom had such a good nature, wonderful smile, she was an awesome homemaker, and a great cook! And loved to paint, she was a crafts lady who could make anything. She loved to travel and see all the beautiful things in our Great Country. She played the accordian, loved to dance, loved all wildlife and anything nature. She retired from the Mead School District after 25 years of various cook positions including head cook. Back in the late 1940's to early 1950's she was a country schoolteacher. She was involved in the Cub Scouts as a den mother for a couple years in the 1960's. Her real passion was gardening (she just reveled in it) and being an artist, painting! And truly loved GREAT Music, mostly country. She was loved by friends and family. My mom was my best friend, through thick and thin, always there for one another. She is the last one in her family of 7. Thank you my dear mom, for all the things you did and gave freely! I could never repay you. I will love you forever! She accepted the Lord at a young age, raised a Methodist. No local services due to Covid 19, and also by her request. THANK YOU HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL! From all the doctors to everyone in between! We love you! 18 days. Burial will be out of state at a later date. Love you mom forever! Kelly Published in Spokesman-Review on Jan. 24, 2021.
