Harvey, Fred Chase, and Edward Harvey. Mrs. Roy Haven acted as soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Evalyn McKay. Mr. Harvey passed away at his home in Logan early Thursday morning. He had been ill since the preceding Sunday evening, suffering from a heart attack. He was born in New York state July 22, 1865, and came to Harrison county when only three months old. Upon completion of his high school work, he became associated with his father in the Berkley company store. Later, he and his brother, George H. acquired ownership and operated the business which has become known as Harvey Brothers. Mr. Harvey was the last charter member of the Logan Fire Company, organized in 1884. He served as fire chief for many years. He was a member of the Chrysolite Lodge A. F. and A. M. for 57 years and Logan chapter of Eastern Star for 50 years. He was a life member of the Scottish Rite, the consistory in Des Moines and Abu Bekr Shrine at Sioux City. Survivors are his wife, Frances, one daughter, Mrs. Theron Arthur, both of Logan; one granddaughter, one great-grandson and three brothers, Robert W. and Frank of Missouri Valley, and Harry of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
