Mr. McKee was born July 27, 1864 in Washington, Iowa. He was the son of Prof. Samuel and Hannah (Harris) McKee. He was reared and educated here and was married in Washington Court House, Ohio, to Daisy Gray who died Dec. 28, 1936. He left here as a young man and was in the wholesale grocery business in Burlington, Sioux City, Sioux Falls, S. Dak., and Mitchell, S. Dak., until the time of his retirement about 16 years ago. He then returned to Washington and made his home with his sister, Mrs. H. M. Eicher, until the time of her death in 1942. Survivors include one son, C. G. McKee of Milwaukie, Oregon; and two brothers, David H. of Waterloo and Paul N. of Guthrie, Oklahoma.
