Herald, OH - 31 Dec 1936, p. 5 DEATH HAS CLAIMED AN EARLY RESIDENT Mrs. Daisy Gray McKee, Daughter of the Late Judge Gray, Dies in Iowa To many long time residents of Washington C.H. (Washington Court House), the sad new of the death of Daisy Gray McKee, which occurred in Sioux City, Iowa, on December 28th, will be of interest. Mrs. McKee was one of seven children of the late Judge and Mrs. T. M. (Thomas Mitchell) Gray, both of whom died within a few months of each other in 1875-1876. At this time these seven children were scattered. Only one, Ethel Gray, remaining in Washington C.H., where she died in 1895. Judge Gray was one of the foremost jurists of this city and his family prominent in the activities of Washington C.H. Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband and one married son and by two sisters and one brother. These three being respectively Mrs. Lew P. Waddell, of Greenfield, OH, Mrs. Nellie Peppers, of Los Angeles, CA, and Vernon Gray of Los Angeles, CA. Mrs. McKee died after a lingering illness during which she suffered greatly. The funeral was held on December 29th, in Sioux City, after which her husband took the remains to Washington, Iowa, for interment in the McKee family plot.
