Description	:	Paying an early morning visit Monday, Linden Zecher, Hagerstown, found his uncle, CHARLES CLAY BARRICK, a native of Middletown Valley, dead in his bed in a Hagerstown hotel. Mr. Barrick, a man of considerable means, was aged 78 years, 1 month and 18 days. He was born in Middletown valley and early in life moved to Colorado, where he engaged in farming and was said to have become quite prosperous. Read More	Paying an early morning visit Monday, Linden Zecher, Hagerstown, found his uncle, CHARLES CLAY BARRICK, a native of Middletown Valley, dead in his bed in a Hagerstown hotel. Mr. Barrick, a man of considerable means, was aged 78 years, 1 month and 18 days. He was born in Middletown valley and early in life moved to Colorado, where he engaged in farming and was said to have become quite prosperous. Following the death of his wife and children, he returned to Middletown valley about eight years ago and visited in the community for some time. Several years ago, after his sister, Mrs. Ada Delauter, a resident of Middletown valley, had moved to Hagerstown, he also removed to that city and resided at the hotel where he died. His death was believed to have resulted from a heart attack and, it was said, probably occurred some time Sunday evening. His nephew went to see him quite early Monday, and receiving no response to knocking at the door, went into the room and found his uncle dead. The sister, Mrs. Delauter, is his only survivor. Services were held at the G.T.K. Gladhill Funeral Home in Middletown; interment in the Reformed Cemetery, Middletown.
