Description	:	Farmer, self made man, only went through the 5th grade as he had to help support his siblings and mother, owned a section, 640 acres and rented out another section on Hwy 281 4 miles north of Greeley on the west side of the highway, he and Jennie built their 'new' home in 1925, it had the first built in indoor bathtub and bathroom in the county. He is buried with his wife in the Catholic Section of the cemetery which is called Sacred Heart Cemetery. It is consecrated ground whereas the protestant ground is not. His son James married... His son James married Lucille Armatus and stayed in Greeley. His daughter Elizabeth Rosella born in 1918 married Charles Wilson and moved to Cleveland,Ohio, later to Berea. His youngest daughter, Catherine born 1926 married Robert Cover and also moved to Cleveland, later to Warren, Michigan, a Detroit suburb. (Robert and Charles worked together at the Cleveland Cadillac Tank Plant. Grandfather of 18. * In the drought(dustbowl) and depression of the 1930's, Cliff and Jennie were about to lose all they had saved after no crop for 3-5 years. They shipped their cattle and horses by train to Texas as long as their money would hold out. So as soon as rains came and they thought it was over, they brought their stock back north from Texas. If they had to start over again they were going to move to Missouri near his younger sister and her husband who also farmed. Both he and his son James were talented fiddle players.
