Four children also preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara Hayes of Warren, Mrs. Agnes Welch, San Antonio, Tex.; three sons, James G. of Andover, Clayton C. , Cortland and Virgil L. of Cherry Valley; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Burial will be in the Roberts Cemetery in Wayne Twp, Ohio.
