On December 15th, just before the sun made its appearance in the east, the death angel visited the home of Charlie D. Frazier of Ridgeway, and claimed him for its victim. Mr. Frazier had been in declining health for sometime, but no one realized the end was so near. All was done for him that loving hands could do, but non could stay the hand of death. He was born at Horsepasture Sept. 2, 1882. In 1907 he united with the Christian Church near his home. Later he was married to Miss Julie Burton of Ridgeway vicinity. To this union was born three children, one son and two daughters, Louise and Mildred, the son preceding him to the grave in infancy. Besides his wife and two daughters, he leaves to mourn his loss a mother, now 84 years of age, three sisters, Mrs. George Taylor, of Mayo; Miss Jennie Frazier of Horsepasture, and Mrs. W. F. Turner of Martinsville; four brothers, George Frazier, of Ridgeway; Terry Frazier of Horsepasture; Peter Frazier of Spencer, and Samuel Frazier of Cooter, Missouri. His body was tenderly laid to rest at the Horsepasture cemetery. The pall bearers were George Frazier, Jr., Otis Shepard, Claud Webster, Edward Burton, Frank Turner, Rubin Smith and Eugene Burton. The flower bearers were Misses Dorothy Frazier, Eunice Stone, Gladys Jones, Mesdames: Katherine Webster, Annie Brodie, Otis Shepard, Frank Turner and J. M. Berry. [His marriage is listed in Bur. of Vital Statistics For Henry County, 1875 - 1935, 13 Jan. 1915, Line 13: Chas. F. Frazier, 30, Single, Born/Resides Henry Co., Laborer, Son of Peter & Victoria Frazier, married Julius Burton, 25, Single, Born/Res. Henry Co., Dau. of Billy & Lucy Burton. After the death of her first husband, Julie married Sam Eanes.
