AGED WOMAN PASSES AWAY SUNDAY P.M. Mrs. Victoria Frazier of the Horsepasture community, said to have been one of the oldest women residents of the county at the time of her death, passed away Sunday evening at her home following a brief illness. Death was attributed to heart failure. She had enjoyed good health in recent years, despite her age. Funeral services will take place from the late home at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. Charles M. Wales, pastor of Horsepasture Christian Church. Interment will follow in the family burial plot near the home. A number of near relatives survive. ************* The following account appeared in the paper dated Fri., Dec. 14, 1934, p. 2, col. 3 [edited]. Mrs. Victoria Frazier, age 88, passed away Sunday evening at her old home place near Horsepasture church. Death was due to a heart attack. Mrs. Frazier was a life-long member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Mayo. In 1862 she was married to Peter Frazier, who preceded her to the grave about twenty years ago. To this union were born ten children, of which only seven survive: Mrs. George Taylor of Mayo, Miss Jennie Frazier of Horsepasture, Mrs. W. Turner of Martinsville, George U. Frazier of Ridgeway, Sammie Frazier of Cooter, Mo., R. T. Frazier of Horsepasture and P. S. Frazier of Preston. The funeral services were held from the old home place Tuesday evening. Burial followed in the family burial grounds. The pall bearers were the grandsons of the deceased: Frank and Russell Turner of Martinsville; George Frazier of Ridgeway; Ralph Frazier of Horsepasture; Gerrmon Taylor of Mayo and Rubin Smith of Leaksville, N.C.
