Description	:	--Last Sunday at two o'clock, p.m., occurred the death of Charles Martin, aged eighteen years, son of Mr. D.M. Martin of this county. Charles was a young man of much promise, beloved by all his friends and an honor to his parents. He had been ill for some time and that dread disease, consumption, had so strong a hold on his constitution, that it was impossible for him to rally. In his dying moments, he retained the full power of all his faculties, and his parting words to his mother and friends were very touching. Charles was a young man of much promise, beloved by all his friends and an honor to his parents. In his dying moments, he retained the full power of all his faculties, and his parting words to his mother and friends were very touching. The funeral was held Monday at the residence of his parents, and his remains were taken in charge by the Good Templar lodge of Grafton, of which he was a member. The funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Chapin of Geneva, and his body was interred in the Fairmont cemetery. The funeral procession was one of the largest ever witnessed in the county, and was evidence of the high esteem in which the young man was held.
