The beautiful single ring ceremony was read by Rev. True S. Haddock. The young couple were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Charles E Fields of Kokomo. They will make their home In Kokomo, where Mr. Fields is employed. 1955/07/14 Tipton Tribune 1955/07/12 Charles Edward Fields Dies in Kokomo Charles Edward Fields, 1402 South Main Street, Kokomo, former Tipton resident, died in a physician's office in Kokomo at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon following a heart attack. He was 61. Services will-be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ellers Funeral home, Kokomo. Born in Greene county March 28, 1894, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fields, he came to Tipton county as a small boy and lived near Windfall in the Hazel Dell community. Later, he moved to Kokomo and had been with the Haynes Stellite company for 30 years. He was a member of Father's auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and of the Quarter Century club at Haynes Stellite. Surviving with the widow, lola Marie Fields, are four sons ; and four daughters, Emery Francis, Robert, Harold, Charles Nathaniel and John Eugene Fields, and Mrs. Joseph Graham, Mrs. Harvey Phillips, Mrs. Chalmer Kite and Mrs. Thomas Budd, all of Kokomo, and a stepson, Don Wilson. Survivors also include 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, the stepmother, Mrs. Maude Fields, and brothers and sisters, Mrs. Ernest Simmons, Mrs. Garnet Peace, Mrs. Oval Dever, of Tipton; Mrs. Robert Smith, of Greene county; Edgar Fields, of Michigantown; Hershel Fields, of Carbon: Donald Fields, of near Sharpsville; Walter Romey, step brother, of Tipton; and Mrs. Edith Martin, step sister, of Tipton.
