Description	:	Charles Shipley passed away at the University hospital in Omaha Saturday, July 7. Mr. Shipley sustained an abrasion of the skin on the back of his hand and infection set in, resulting in blood poisoning. His condition being apparently serious, he was advised to enter the Omaha hospital, where efforts to save his life proved futile. Charles Edward Shipley was born at Florence, August 18, 1864. At the time of his death he was 63 years 10 months and 27 days old. He had been a resident of Albion for a number of years. ... At the time of his death he was 63 years 10 months and 27 days old. He had been a resident of Albion for a number of years. He was married June 4, 1903 to Sadie L. Marshall of Norfolk. To this union were born eleven children, five of whom preceded him to the Great Beyond. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, four daughters, Wilma, now Mrs. G. H. Ewers of Cedar Rapids; Mildred, Myrtice, Jeanette, and two sons, Fred and Donald, besides one grandchild, Ruth Eleanor Ewers. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church by the pastor, Rev. H. O. King, and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
