Description	:	Charles Edwin Elliott was born at Tolona (sic), Ill., January 15, 1862, and died at the Blue Valley hospital (sic), Hebron, August 12, 1933, aged 71 years, 6 months and 21 days. In early childhood his parents moved to Gentry county (sic), Missouri, where he lived for several years. Read More	Charles Edwin Elliott was born at Tolona (sic), Ill., January 15, 1862, and died at the Blue Valley hospital (sic), Hebron, August 12, 1933, aged 71 years, 6 months and 21 days. In early childhood his parents moved to Gentry county (sic), Missouri, where he lived for several years. When he became of age, he homesteaded in Kansas, where he spent his life with the exception of seven years spent in Iowa. January 15, 1890, he was united in marriage with Carrie Parker, of Coats, Kans. To this union six children were born: Bertha Swigert, of Amorite, Okla.; Hazel McClean of Fort Morgan, Colo.; Berniece Pack, of Munden, Kansas, and Charles at home. Two children passed away in infancy. Four sisters and one brother still survive him: Mrs. Frances Barnhardt, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Eva Holman, Ansley; Mrs. Delphine Golden of Missouri, Bess Elliott of San Francisco, and Henry Elliott. He united with the Methodist church (sic) at Willis, Kans., in 1896, and until the last few years attended church regularly. He was a lover of home and family and enjoyed his evenings at home. The family in his memory have added his poem to the obituary. We miss thee from our home, dear father, We miss thee from thy place; A shadow o'er our life is cast, We miss the sunshine of thy face. We miss thy kind and willing hand; Thy fond and earnest care; Our home is dark without thee, We miss thee everywhere. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Chester, Nebraska, Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.; the minister, Frank N. Gardner, conducting the services. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
