The deceased was suffering intense pain when brought to the Maryborough Hospital, and his condition was such that an operation; though necessary, could not be performed immediately. He is survived by his mother and father, three brothers and six sisters. The brothers are Messrs. Joseph (Nambour), Alfred and Albert Hewlett (Howard), and the sisters Mesdames Thompson and Joy (Cairns), Trenholm (Kerley, N.S.W.), Gill and Nemth (Gympie), and Miss Mary Hewlett (Brisbane). The funeral will take place from the residence of his parents, Howard, this afternoon, to the Howard Cemetery.
