Read More	FRANK HUNT FALLS TO DEATH Falling a distance variously esti- mated from thirty to forty feet when a scaffolding broke at the Mor- rell ice house in the west end this morning, Frank Hunt, residing on the corner of Moore and Williams streets, sustained a broken neck and died al- most instantly. With him on the scaf- fold at the time was Henry Cason, a colored man employed by the packing concern, and he too fell and sustained injuries that ane not considered of a grave character. The accident happened about 9:30 o'clock this morning as the two men were at work on a scaffolding that stood about the new addition being built to the west end ice house of the packing company situated above the dam. A knot in the two inch plank that weakened the board is held re- sponsible for the breaking of the same and the precipitation of the two men some thirty or forty feet to the ground below. Mr. Hunt upon strik- ing the ground broke his neck and his death immediately followed. His fel- low empoye met with an injury to the left arm, his lip was cut and a tooth knocked loose, and he was otherwise bruised and painfully hurt. Mr. Hunt is a married man and is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter. Also a sister, Mrs. Henry Wagner, all residing in South Ottumwa. The deceased was about 32 years of age and had been employed as a laborer at the Morrell plant for more than five years. The inquest over the remains were begun at the Daggett undertaking rooms at 3 o'clock. The funeral arrangements will be made known later.
