Born on May 28, 1932, he was the son of the late James Walter Hendrix and the late Bertha G. Wimpy Hendrix. He proudly served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Temple with Reverends Wendell Rhodes, Ken Whitt, Mike Thomas, and his grandson, Andy Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery with military honors.
