Description	:	CHARLES W. CHRISTENSEN Word has been received of the death of a former Chadron resident, Charles W. Christensen, better known as "Chaulky" who died of a heart attack Friday, May 3, at Bremmerton, Wash. Christensen was born and raised in Chadron and graduated from Assumption Academy. Survivors include his wife, Cleo, his mother, Mrs. Fred Thies of Loveland, Colo., and one son, Ronald, who is an officer in the armed services in Germany. Christensen, better known as "Chaulky" who died of a heart attack Friday, May 3, at Bremmerton, Wash. Christensen was born and raised in Chadron and graduated from Assumption Academy. Survivors include his wife, Cleo, his mother, Mrs. Fred Thies of Loveland, Colo., and one son, Ronald, who is an officer in the armed services in Germany. Other survivors include two half-sisters, Mrs. Jennie Madgett of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Marjorie Beatty of San Francisco, Calif., and one half-brother, Elmer Laue of Chadron, and numerous other relatives in Chadron and Rushville. His father, Chares W. Christensen, and brother Cecil, who was killed in Africa during World War II, preceded him in death. Charles was former steward of the Elks Club until he went to the West Coast to work in the shipyards during the early 1940's. Burial will be in Bremmerton, Wash., Tuesday, May 7.
