Description	:	Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon for Guy Benedict, who died at his home in Creighton, Friday morning. The rites were conducted at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Adolph Lillich in charge. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Benedict had been living alone in a small home in the west part of town the past few months, following the death of his wife last November. The rites were conducted at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Adolph Lillich in charge. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Benedict had been living alone in a small home in the west part of town the past few months, following the death of his wife last November. His children had made regular visits but the bad road had made it difficult to see him every day. On Friday evening about seven o'clock, he was found dead by his grandson, Kenneth Elwood. It was determined he had died about nine o'clock in the morning. He had recently reach his 74th birthday. Charles Guy Benedict was born at Lansing, Mich., March 5, 1875, the son of John and Mary Benedict. When a lad, he accompanied his parents to Creighton, where he spent most of his life. On May 1, 1900 he was united in marriage to Anna Katharine Anders of Creighton. To this union four children were born. His wife and one son, Willis, preceded him in death. Willis passed away June of 1925. Two sisters, Sadie and Sylvia, also preceded him in death, as did his parents. He engaged in farming for several years. For about 15 years, he worked with the Butterfields in the grain elevator in Creighton. He is survived three children, Edith (Marvin) Elwood if Plainview, Mildred (Floyd) Carlson and Eldora (Richard) Eldorn of Omaha, six grandchildren, three brothers, Clint, Clarence and Clyde of Washington, one sister, Caroline Rogers of Ariz.
