Description	:	Death- Charles Henry Yapp, a resident of Littleton for thirty-five years, and for the past eleven years serving the town as superintendent of streets, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at his home in Newtown [rd], aged 52 years, 4 months and 15 days. Mr. Yapp was widely known in Littleton and among the townspeople as well as by a host of other friends he was greatly esteemed and respected. Mr. Yapp received his education in the public schools of Westford, where he was born on March 5, 1879, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Yapp. At completion of his studies he came to this town, where he purchased the famous old Elbridge Marshall farm. he was united in marriage in February, 1904, with Miss Mary Emma Atkins, daughter of Charles and Mary Field Atkins, of this town, who survives him, as do six children, Clifford E., George A., Charles Henry, Jr., Esther B., Helen D., and Harold L. Yapp, all living at home. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Suggatt, of Lawrence, Mrs. Abbie Clapp, of Danvers, and Mrs. Mabel Chapman, of Swansea, and three brothers, Alvin B. Yapp, of Chester, NH, Warren E. Yapp, of Maine, and Ernest R. Yapp, of Connecticut. Funeral services were held at the home on Friday afternoon at two o'clock and were largely attended by relatives and friends. Interment was in the family lot in Westlawn Cemetery.
