Description	:	Son of John and Tillie (Liss) Kava. On Jan. 31, 1940, he married Ethel Knopik at St. Peters Catholic Church in Fullerton. He was preceded in death by his wife on Feb. 12, 2000; and a daughter, Delores Williams. Survivors of the immediate family include son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Helen Kay Kava of Omaha; brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Irene Kava of Fullerton; grandchildren, Greg Kava of Valley, Dr. Rick Kava of Sioux City, Iowa, and Brad Kava and Lori Kinney of Omaha; and seven great-grandchildren. He grew up in the Krakow area and attended country schools. Charles and Ethel moved to Omaha where he worked at Johnny's Cafe. They returned to farm in the Krakow area in 1943. In 1954, they returned to Omaha. In 1972, they returned to Fullerton and resided there until his death. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and past member of the Sportsmen Club in Fullerton. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, farming, dancing and polka music. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Kendal Kava; two brothers, Karl Kava and Edward Kava; three sisters, Stella Egnoski, Agnes Jarecke and Barbara Triba.
