| Description | : | Kenyon Withrow and his wife, Grace, operated the Withrow Store, begun by his grandfather, in Hollis for many years. Kenyon is perhaps best remembered as a genealogist and expert on many of the families of Rutherford County. Kenyon was a charter member of the Genealogical Society of Old Tryon County and wrote many articles based on his research that were published in the Society's Bulletin and in the local newspaper. He corresponded and visited Withrows all over the country and was probably the foremost authority on that family. |
