Although Mr. Strickfaden had had trouble some time ago with his lungs, he had been working steadily and was understood to be in good health. He went to bed Tuesday night and when those at the hotel went to call him the next morning he was found dead in bed. Mayor Barber was notified and called Corner Bell of Fitchville who with Dr. L.H. Whisler, local health officer, made an examination. They found death due to a blood clot, which had formed on the lungs and passed to the brain. Mr. Strickfaden was 33 years old and single. Beside his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Strickfaden, who live north of the city, he leaves several brothers and sisters. For some time he had been employed as driver for one of the coal wagons of A. N. Richards & Sons. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery, Willard. Newspaper Clipping, Obituary Charles Lawrence Strickfaden, son of Benjamin and Catherine Strickfaden, was born at St. Stevens, Ohio, January 21, 1886, and departed this life January 7, 1920, aged 33 years, 11 months and 16 days. He was the next youngest of a family of twelve children and is preceded to the other world by a brother and sister. He leaves to mourn his departure his father, mother, five sisters and four brothers; Lewis of Monroeville, Mrs. Dora Pahl, Swanton, Ohio, Mrs. Mary Lehman, Forest, Ohio, Mrs. Clara Hook Willard, Edward at home, Mrs. Emma Kemmerly, Sandusky, Neal, Willard, Mrs. Lucy Kleinfelter, Scipio Siding, Ohio, Leo of Willard. He was baptized in the Catholic faith at St. Stevens, Ohio, in infancy and at the age of 20 he was confirmed at Willard by Bishop Hartsman, Cleveland. He was a bachelor.
