Description	:	Charles Leander Beers was born at Clancy Montana on September 16, 1899 of pioneer parents, Chales Leander and Barbara Ellen Stewart Beers. In 1908 the family moved to Judith Gap, residing there since. Mr Beers graduated from Judith Gap high school. Mr Beers was in the Beers and Haynes Mercantile and also was the postmaster. In 1908 the family moved to Judith Gap, residing there since. Mr Beers graduated from Judith Gap high school. Mr Beers was in the Beers and Haynes Mercantile and also was the postmaster. Mr Beers was married to Mabel C Arnegard in Fort Benton, April 1, 1926. Born of this union were two daughters, Mrs F J (Barbara Kay) Kirscher of Townsend, and Mrs John D (Rosa Lee) Lea of Judith Gap, and a son, Captain Charles L M Beers, USAF, El Paso TX. Mr Beers was a meber of the National League of Postmasters, Nation Association of Postmaster, for 13 years a member of Wheatland Lodge # 132 AF & AM, which he served as secretary ten yers; was past governor of Harlowton Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1546; past district vice president and past Noble North Moose of the Legion of the Moose; member of Eagles Lodge; past patron of Mary Stranahan Chapter 106 of O E S. He was an active worker in many civic organization, having served as secretary of the volunteer firemen, past secretary and president of the Judith Gap Community Club and as RedDross chairman. Mr Beers was also a member of the Wheatland Memorial Hospital Board, and ardent basket ball fan and referee in the past and had performed on Judith Gap teams of years ago. Charles Leander "Lee" Beers, 63, passed away February 22, 1963, at the Wheatland Memorial Hospital in Harlowton. He had been hospitalized a week after a heart attack. He is survived by the widow, his childrenHe is also survived by his mother and a sister, Mabel Seals of Ephrata WA, brothers, E J Beers of San Francisco, James and Edward Beers, both of Missoula and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, and brothers Thomas G, William S and Robert F.
