The celebration will be held at the home of Mrs. Crandall's sister, Mrs. Bert Harrington, 1235 East Sixth street. Both are members of well-known pioneer families and both were born in San Bernardino. Mrs. Crandall is the former Annie Van Leuven, and her parents were Sidney and Carolyn Van Leuven. Mrs. Crandall is the son of Miles and Zillie Crandall. For many years, Mr. Crandall was an employe of the county highway department, retiring several years ago to live at their present address, 504 Sterling avenue, the old home of Mrs. Crandall's family. They have one son, Lloyd Crandall, and two grandsons, Robert J. and Bill Crandall. The former is serving with the Army Air forces and the latter resides in Hollywood. He was 75 years old, was a native of San Bernardino and lifetime resident of this community. Surviving are his wife, AnnaVan Luven (Van Leuven); a son, Lloyd Crandall; and a brother, Ross Crandall, all of San Bernardino; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Hutchinson and Mrs. Henry Boesch of San Bernardino and Mrs. Ida Moxon of San Diego; and two grandsons, Robert, in the Army Air force and William, in the Navy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Stephens & Bobbitt chapel. Interment will follow at City cemetery.
