Description	:	Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” April 17, 1961: Charles P. Jones, 70, of 212 N. Graves St., died at 5:05 a.m. today at the Ottumwa Hospital where he had been a patient since April 6. He had been an employ of John Morrell & Co., for 30 years prior to his retirement Dec. 1, 1955. Previous to his employment at Morrell, he had been a coal miner. Also surviving are two sons, Jesse Jones and Harold B. Jones of Ottumwa; four daughters, Mrs. Lula Hughes, Mrs. Helen Shedenhelm and Mrs. Hazel Giles of Ottumwa; and Mrs. Virginia Kenny of Baldwin Park, Calif.; 25 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Norberg of California and Mrs. Harriet Anderson of Ottumwa; and a brother, George Jones of Minneapolis. A son, Wilbur [sic], and a daughter, Frieda, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. La Verne Morris, pastor of the Davis Street Christian Church, in charge. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
