Schuyler, died Sunday at 10:25 a.m. at Ottumwa Manor following an illness of several years. She was the daughter of Thomas W. and Alice Grooms Jones, born in Oskaloosa July 22, 1892. She had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life and was a member of Willard Street Methodist Church. She married Gay M. Anderson on June 21, 1922, in Ottumwa. He survives. Obituary From "The Ottumwa Courier," August 5, 1968: Mrs. Harriet A. Anderson, 76, of 430 S. Schuyler, died Sunday at 10:25 a.m. at Ottumwa Manor following an illness of several years. She was the daughter of Thomas W. and Alice Grooms Jones, born in Oskaloosa July 22, 1892. She had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life and was a member of Willard Street Methodist Church. She married Gay M. Anderson on June 21, 1922, in Ottumwa. He survives. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Florence Norberg of San Merino, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. The service will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Willard Street Methodist Church in charge of Dr. Raymond Reed of Creston who is a district superintendent of the Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hayden Evans, Ronald Bell, Carl Chisman, Herbert Box, Richard Kerfoot, and Robert Heinje. The casket will remain at Johnson Funeral Chapel until Tuesday at 11 a.m. when it will be taken to the church and closed at the beginning of the service.
