Read More	Passed away in the Veterans Hospital. Obituary=on funeral hand out card. Charles Roger Marble, the son of Delos and Fae Gloyd Marble. was born Novewmber 16, 1920 in Spencer, Iowa. He was raised in this community and here received his early education. Following his schooling he entered the military, serving in the Army Air Force during World War Two. During hsi three years of military service, he spent one year stationed overseas. Charles was married to Shirley Mae Masters on August 5, 1945, in Graettinger, Iowa. Throughout their married life, Spencer has been their home, where Charles was employed as a truck driver for Don Maurer for 17 years. He later worked as a driver for Welco Feed for 6 years and then Lakes concrete for 5 1/2 years unti ill health forced him to retire in May of 1973. For many years he has been a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2273. Mr Marble died at the Veteran's Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on October 4, 1979, at the age of 58 years, 10 months and 18 days, He was preceded in death by his father and 1 sister, Inez Reiter. Charles is survived by his wife, Shirley of Spencer; 1 son, Darrell and 1 daughter, Barbara Wilbur, both of Spencer; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs Fae Marble of Spencer,; 1 bother, Robert Marble of Spencer; 3 sisters; Delores Muchow and Shirley - Mrs. Herbert Butler, both of Spencer and Ruby - Mrs. Loren Phelps of Sioux Rapids; other relatives and friends.
