Description	:	DeLorres was born to Fae and DeLos Marble on June 15, 1928 in Spencer, Iowa, the 4th of 6 children. She was preceded in death by both parents, all her grandparents, her brothers, Charles and his wife Shirley Mae Marble, Robert and his wife Pearl Marble, sisters, Inez and her husband Charles Reiter, Shirley and her husband Herbert Butler, and youngest sister Ruby and her husband, Loren Phelps. In addition to their families special nephew, Virgil Reiter, other nieces and nephews along with one great nephew. She also has lost two sons-in-law, Jeffrey Fredrickson and David Peters. She was preceded in death by both parents, all her grandparents, her brothers, Charles and his wife Shirley Mae Marble, Robert and his wife Pearl Marble, sisters, Inez and her husband Charles Reiter, Shirley and her husband Herbert Butler, and youngest sister Ruby and her husband, Loren Phelps. In addition to their families special nephew, Virgil Reiter, other nieces and nephews along with one great nephew. She also has lost two sons-in-law, Jeffrey Fredrickson and David Peters. DeLorres's husbands, Spencer E. Steece passed away in 2005, and Ernest Muchow in 1983. On September 13, 2021, DeLorres passed away at her daughter Kathy's home, surrounded by all that loved and cherished her at the age of 93. Over the years, DeLorres lost many other nieces and nephews that she loved greatly. And, last but not least, and also never forgotten, were her daughter's dog, Tyson, who visited her each day for donuts, sausages and other treats; and her son's 2 dogs, Carl and Luther who thought that their "grandma's" house was theirs! Left to remember her are her sons and daughters: Linda Willemsen/Dennis from Charles City, Iowa, Larry Steece/Sheila from Spencer, Iowa, Garry Steece/LuAnn from Spencer, Iowa, Deborah Fredrickson from Dickens, Iowa, Lyle Steece/Sarah from Spencer, Iowa and Kathy Peters from Dickens, Iowa. Also, Nancy Reiter, her nephew Virgil's wife and their children and grandchildren of Polk City, Iowa. DeLorres had 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Her last great granddaughter, Kinsley was born on August 12, 2021. DeLorres was able to hold and love on little Kinsley prior to her death, which brought her great joy and comfort that evening. DeLorres and Spencer were married January 24, 1945 in Jackson, Minnesota. Their early years were spent in Spencer, Iowa; Marquette, Iowa, then in Sanborn, Iowa where they began to raise their family. DeLorres and Spencer were married for 16 years. In 1963, DeLorres met Ernest F. Muchow and they moved to Hartley, Iowa and then finally settled in Spencer, Iowa. As a young woman, DeLorres loved music, and played the violin and piano, along with playing the harpsichord, accordion, organ and guitar by ear. She played for her children all the time to entertain them. When she wasn't playing a musical instrument, she always had the radio on, or the record player going. From this, her children learned to love music and followed in their mother's foot- steps, taking music lessons or forming their own bands over the years. She also enjoyed drawing. Gifts that they all appreciate to this day. She could spend hours playing cards with her grandchildren. In her later years, she loved all her grandchildren, making each one feel special, and formed lasting memories with each one that they will always laugh about. She also loved Bingo, playing almost every night until her health would not all her to do it any longer. Her family and friends visited often, also forming lasting memories, which she loved.
