In the fall of 1882 they moved to Nodaway county Mo. From there they went to Saunders county, Neb., then to Boone county where they lived for eight years. Leaving there they went to Kansas for a short time, then back to Boone County Neb., where they spent another 8 years. CASH.Newspaper Obituary Charles S. Cash was born in Owen County, Indiania, October 12, 1858. Here he grew to manhood and Maroh 5, 1881 he was married to Miss Annie Criss. In the fall of 1882 they moved to Nodaway county Mo. From there they went to Saunders county, Neb., then to Boone county where they lived for eight years. Leaving there they went to Kansas for a short time, then back to Boone County Neb., where they spent another 8 years. Three years ago they came to this county: two years ago this spring they settled on a farm 7 miles west of Loup City, where he passed away about noon April 15th. To them were born 8 sons and five daughters, 5 sons and 3 daughters still living. When in Mo., about 28 years ago, he heard the call of his Savior, went humbly through the waters of baptism and rose again to walk in newness of life. In all these years he has been true to his Master, his chief concern being to serve him. He was certainly a conscientious Christian, which fact is worth more in this sad hour than all else. He never was a rugged man, and for years has had very poor health. Four weeks ago he was taken with rip. Was getting over this when rheumatism and other complications set in and terminated his life. The funeral was from the ME church Thursday afternoon conducted by D. J. Poynter, of Albion Neb., an old friend and brother in Christ, assissted by Rev. Leeper, pastor of the church here, and the body interred in the Evergreen cemetery. Known children include Bertha Mae Cash, Charles Hugh Estes Cash, William Allen Cash, Juliette Elizabeth Cash, Glen Vernon Cash, Dennis Leslie Cash, Ivan Clifford Cash, and Lavernia Bell Cash. Alfred Cash, buried in Saunders County, Nebraska most probably is a child as well. The obituary lists thirteen children total, eight surviving at the time of Charles' death. Early census show Charley in Indiana living with the Bolin family, William and Anna (Mears) Bolin.
