Description	:	Charles Stroup passed away Monday after weeks of illness. Charles Stroup was born in Wisconsin, February 16th, 1859, and while yet a lad, moved with his parents to Lake City, Minnesota, where the family lived for about 20 years. In his early manhood, Mr. Stroup came to Boone county where he resided until his death. In 1888 he was married to Miss Minnie Louden. Read More	Charles Stroup passed away Monday after weeks of illness. Charles Stroup was born in Wisconsin, February 16th, 1859, and while yet a lad, moved with his parents to Lake City, Minnesota, where the family lived for about 20 years. In his early manhood, Mr. Stroup came to Boone county where he resided until his death. In 1888 he was married to Miss Minnie Louden. Four children were born to this union, Ralph, Roland, George and Ruth. In 1896 his wife departed this life but he managed to keep his family together until they were grown. In 1910 his son Roland passed away and four years later, George followed in death. Mr. Stroup will be greatly missed as he always had a kind word for everyone. He leaves to mourn his departure, his son, Ralph, of Albion and his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Smith, of San Pedro, California; three grandchildren and two brothers besides a host of friends. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church Wednesday at two p.m. with Rev. Oscar Creech, officiating. Interment was made in Rose Hill.
