Lawson died, at his home in Lawsonia about midnight Wednesday night following a paralytic stroke which he suffered two days before. He was eighty-two years of age and had been in poor health for the past few years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nancy Lawson; two sons, William H. and Charles E. Lawson of Lawsonia, and one sister, Mrs. Harriett A. Nelson, who makes her home with her daughter in Baltimore. Mr. Lawson was the son of the late James and Mary Lawson and a nephew of the late Hance Lawson, prominent in business, political and religious circles of Crisfield and Somerset county. He spent his entire life in this community. He was a gentleman of the old school and a consistent Christian. He leaves a host of friends to whom the news of his death brought sincere regret. In the passing of Charles W. Lawson it can be truly said that a good man has gone to join the silent majority beyond the grave. He has left his earthly tabernacle for a place in that "building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from his late home, in charge of Rev. T.J. Sard, pastor of Asbury M.E. Church, and Rev. P.F.
