Description	:	Charles Wingard Zeller, fifth of eight children born to Henry S. and Ann C. Zeller, was born at Cearfoss, Maryland, December 4, 1860. Died at Hemmingford, Nebraska, Nov. 1, 1940, aged 79 years, 10 months and 27 days. He grew to manhood on his family's homestead in northern Maryland, received his education in the public schools of that state and Mercersburg College. Died at Hemmingford, Nebraska, Nov. 1, 1940, aged 79 years, 10 months and 27 days. He grew to manhood on his family's homestead in northern Maryland, received his education in the public schools of that state and Mercersburg College. Grew up in a Christian home under the spiritual guidance of the Reformed Church. On September 16, 1884, he was united in marriage to Frances Drucilla Harnish at State Line, Pa. To this union were born six children, four sons, two daughters, all of whom, with their mother, were present with him when he fell asleep. He was a farmer all his life. Spent his early manhood in his chosen field in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Moving with his family to Nance County, Nebraska in 1903, where he with his family operated a cattle feeding ranch for fifteen years. After which till 1930 he spent in developing and beautifying his own homestead. During this time he saw all his sons and daughters happily married. Helping them with good council to establish themselves in their chosen work. His family bonds were so closely knit that in 1930, he sold out in Nance county and moved with his youngest son to Hemmingford to which place his other sons, with their families had preceded him. Here, again surrounded by his children and grandchildren, and a host of friends, he spent the last ten years of his very active life, building and beautifying a modest home. His great love for work kept him vigorously active and interested in life until three weeks ago. After a short illness accompanied by a mild stroke he fell asleep to await his Master's call in the resurrection morn. Left to mourn his passing are: His wife, Mrs. Frances D. Zeller, four sons, Henry T. of Hemmingford; Charles K. of Fullerton; Russell K. of Hemmingford; Morris E., Alliance and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Anderson, Lawn Hill, Iowa; Mrs. Jos. Paustian, Millard, Nebraska, Sixteen grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lulu Cave, Lynchburgh, Virginia, and a host of friends.
