Description	:	A Tragical Death. Charles Miller a son of Mr. & Mrs. J. D. Miller found in a Pasture nearly Dead Saturday evening last, Charles Miller age 12 years a so f Mr. & Mrs J. D. Miller of the town of Miller, as was his custom took his saddle horse and went to the pasture west of town to fetch the family cow home, he had made his way into the pasture where the cow was. Miller found in a Pasture nearly Dead Saturday evening last, Charles Miller age 12 years a so f Mr. & Mrs J. D. Miller of the town of Miller, as was his custom took his saddle horse and went to the pasture west of town to fetch the family cow home, he had made his way into the pasture where the cow was. A short time after he had entered the pasture Mr. Dan Mahan saw the horse come up to the gate without Charley he at once caught the animal and mounting it went in persuit of the lost boy, finding him in a ravine in the west part of the pasture nearly dead, he was taken at once to the home of Mr. Mahon doctors were called but nothing could be done for him he died in a short time. From a careful survey it is thought that the horse slipped and fell and at the same time the boy was thrown from the saddle with one foot hanging fast in the stirrup, being unable to free himself at once, the horse became frightned draging him about a quarter of a mile, bruising him badly. The forehead receiving a serious blow causing a fracture of the back part of the skull and concussion of brain from which he died. This is a sorrowful affliction for the family, a young life being so suddenly taken from them. Death hath a thousand doors to let out life. We are sure the family have the sympathy of the whole community in this bereavement.
