Description	:	Charlotte “Ann” Dowden, 85, Kokomo, passed away at 12:30 am Saturday, December 7, 2019 at St. Vincent-Kokomo. She was born July 9, 1934 to the late Clay and Faye (Turnpaugh) Smith in Logansport, IN. on July 9, 1950, she married George Dowden, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2015. Ann retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of Brookside Free United Methodist Church and UAW 292. Ann is survived by her daughter, Kay (Gerry) Bitner; sons, George “Ron” (Denise) Dowden Jr., and Tim (Leetta) Dowden; sister, Sue Holverson; grandchildren, Bryan (Amy) Bitner, Sarah (Craig) Swoverland, John Bitner, Kasey (Denver) Reeve, Aubrey (Derek) Adams, Travis (Lindsay) Overton, Bradley Dowden, and Carley Dowden; great grandchildren, Ari and Ian Swoverland, Logan Hodson, Leland Reeve, Addi Dowden, Delaney Overton, Hadley Overton, and Hank Adams. In addition to her husband George, Ann was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, December 20, 2019, at Brookside Free United Methodist Church, 190 E. 400 S., Kokomo, with pastor Doug Benham officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church from 11-1 on Friday before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookside Free United Methodist Church. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
